Rebel CAP sets a new sustainability standard

UNLV launches comprehensive climate action plan

On Friday, Sept. 13, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas became the first higher education institution in the state to launch a comprehensive climate action plan. Known as Rebel CAP, the plan outlines significant measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, expand renewable energy use, and improve energy-efficient infrastructure across campus.

Brailsford & Dunlavey partnered with the university on the development of Rebel CAP.

“I’m incredibly proud to have been involved in the development of Rebel CAP and to support UNLV’s commitment to sustainability,” said Jillian Buckholz, B&D Sustainability Advisor. “Attending the ceremony and seeing this transformative initiative launch was truly inspiring. It’s exciting to witness the university take such meaningful steps to address climate change and create a lasting impact for both the campus and the wider community.”
