REMOTE — Earlier this month, AIA Central Valley teamed up with ASLA California/Sierra to host landscape architect Peter Walker, FASLA, as part of their desigNarrative Speaker Series. The AIA describes the series as a platform that “gives local architects, designers and members of the community who are interested in what drives thoughtful and innovative design and opportunity to dialogue with noteworthy architects and firms about their inspirational work”.
Peter has played an integral role in the field of landscape architecture, with a career spanning six decades and an impressive resume including projects like the 9/11 Memorial and Jewel Changi Airport. In addition to his portfolio, Peter has authored seven books, been featured in multiple exhibits, and has received numerous awards throughout his career. His work is known for its eclectic nature, adapting to numerous geographic and cultural contexts with a focus on environmental and urban issues.
B&D’s Cody Carpino moderated the discussion, which can be found here.
