Construction of Spartanburg’s new baseball stadium, Fifth Third Park, is well underway, with Opening Day scheduled for April 15, 2025. This state-of-the-art 3,500-seat stadium will serve as the home for the Hub City Spartanburgers, the High-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. More than just a ballpark, the project anchors a transformative $425 million mixed-use development in the heart of downtown Spartanburg.
Known as Project Core, the development spans four city blocks and will ultimately include over 375 apartments, a 150-room hotel, 200,000 square feet of office space, and parking for at least 1,500 vehicles. The stadium itself is envisioned as a vibrant community hub, hosting not just baseball games but also concerts and other events that will bring residents and visitors together.
Brailsford & Dunlavey (B&D) is proud to support the City of Spartanburg throughout this important project. Acting as the city’s representative, B&D has provided oversight of design and construction activities, facilitated draw requests, and reviewed pricing to ensure the project remains on track.
“We are incredibly proud to represent Spartanburg on this transformative project,” said Bill Mykins, B&D Vice President. “The stadium construction is coming along beautifully, and it’s exciting to see the vision for this development take shape. This project will be a game-changer for Spartanburg, creating opportunities and vibrancy for the community.”
