Ellery Ammons is a senior associate in B&D’s Washington, D.C. office, where she provides planning and strategic services to colleges and universities. With joint backgrounds in urban planning and management consulting, her collective experience has fostered a passion for adopting a people first approach to insightfully transforming places and organizational processes. She enjoys collectively leveraging both areas of expertise to creatively solve ambiguous problems while meeting clients’ strategic objectives.
Prior to joining Brailsford and Dunlavey, she worked as a strategy and management consultant with senior leaders in the military. In this role, she designed strategic planning frameworks, introduced performance management tools (e.g., KPIs, OKRs), and served as a project manager for various strategic initiatives.
She has also worked with the Planning & Development Department of a Business Improvement District (BID) where she managed the Design Review Board and a variety of economic incentives, while also spearheading community engagement in multiple comprehensive planning efforts.
Originally from Memphis, TN, she holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Urban Studies and Political Science from Rhodes College.
