Mr. Mara is a director in B&D’s Atlanta, GA office. He primarily supports B&D’s Higher Education practice, helping colleges and universities to plan and implement major capital projects and other strategic initiatives. During his time at B&D, he has advised clients on the development and operation of a wide variety of asset types, including student and employee housing, research facilities, renewable energy, and mixed-use developments. Mr. Mara is passionate about strengthening civic institutions, employing his expertise in market analytics, financial analysis, partnership structuring, and project management to help his clients find where their missions intersect with market opportunities.

Mr. Mara holds a master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from Georgia Tech, and a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from the University of Georgia. He joined B&D following the completion of his graduate degree, before which he worked as a consultant for government and corporate clients on issues related to national security and trade.
