Kevin Mara is a director in B&D’s Atlanta, GA office. He brings with him a background in housing policy and community development finance, and is passionate about helping communities strengthen their quality of life through improvements to the built environment. Prior to joining B&D, Mr. Mara worked for Invest Atlanta, where he focused on building partnerships between the City of Atlanta and private investors to promote neighborhood revitalization and economic growth. While there he helped to launch a new real estate and small business loan fund and a green building finance partnership. Mr. Mara holds a Master of City and Regional Planning from the Georgia Institute of Technology College of Design and a B.A. in International Affairs from the University of Georgia. Before pursuing his graduate degree, he worked as a consultant for government and corporate clients on issues related to national security and trade. His experience conducting quantitative and field research helps him uncover the story behind the data and find innovative solutions for his clients.
