Mr. Kitterman is a senior project manager with B&D where he focuses on owner representation for K-12 clients. Having worked in the AEC industry since 1994, Mr. Kitterman is a structural engineer with a wide range of experience as a Project Manager, Construction Manager and Program Manager. He has worked on sports facilities, public assembly, residential, commercial, hospitality, education, justice, healthcare, and transportation projects. Mr. Kitterman is a member of the $3.2 billion District of Columbia Public Schools modernization program where for over a decade he served as program director overseeing the small capital projects program. In that role he has directly managed over $600 million in PK-12 projects, including hundreds of small capital projects and several elementary and middle school modernizations. In addition, he has been instrumental in establishing and enforcing design standards for school modernizations, has been a leader in preserving and restoring the stock of historic buildings in the DCPS inventory, worked closely with the Department of General Service’s Sustainability and Energy Management Division to implement one of the largest on-site solar installations in the U.S. Mr. Kitterman has gained experience in facility operations and maintenance helping procure and implement building and systems maintenance contracts including a District-wide roof asset management program. Prior to joining B&D, Mr. Kitterman spent time as a Construction Project Manager with the Architect of the Capitol overseeing the Cannon House Office Building Renewal project for the House Office Buildings Jurisdiction .
