RFQ for Texas uni P3

November 7, 2025

PROJECT SPOTLIGHT

A request for qualifications (RFQ) has been issued for a P3 project to deliver an on-campus residence hall and innovation center at the University of North Texas.

A development partner is being sought to provide housing for approximately 1,000 students, as well as related amenities, alongside an “innovative music-focused teaching, rehearsal, and maker space”.

The university in Denton is one of the nation’s largest public research universities with a renowned College of Music, and the new innovation center is aimed at building on that reputation as well as fostering interdisciplinary collaboration.

Development advisory firm Brailsford & Dunlavey is supporting the university to define and implement the project.

Interested parties have until December 4th to submit their responses to the RFQ.

A shortlist and request for proposals is expected between the end of December 2025 and early January 2026. To learn more about the RFQ process or to submit questions, email Carrie Stoeckert (carrie.stoeckert@untsystem.edu) by November 14, 2025.

"The leadership and information from B&D, and the clarity with which they provide it, brings added credibility to the process and ensures that a range of university stakeholders, including senior leadership and our board, are fully informed for – and confident in – their required decision making.”
